I will be having a solo show called “Pattern and Pottery” at the Mudroom Gallery this spring. This show will be a window into the way the world around me inspires my work. I often take quick pictures of a pattern or detail that I find beautiful or interesting as a way of note taking. Anything from a barn in rural Connecticut, to caution tape on the ground in Oaxaca, to an old saguaro in my backyard might catch my eye. The images that I’ve collected over the past two decades continue to make their way into my sense of design and my current pottery practice. This show presents my pottery in conversation with my snapshots of everyday objects. Opening night will be Saturday April 27th from 6-8pm, and the show will be up for the following six weeks.
